We could only see from the fruit stand.. but this is what we hear from an uncle at the fire station, a cousin down the road and papa who talked to the cops.. Man steals car on central side of Maui, initiates high-speed chase east bound on Hana Hwy. Makes its all the way to Keanae, bails the car and jumps in the ocean to escape police officers in pursuit. Man hides in ocean for an hour or so from.. helicopters in the sky, fire fighter on the surfboard and cops on the cliff. Finally, they find the now naked man and off he goes with the police. noonish?
